Struggling To Find Ourselves

As we get closer to camping season again and vacation, we are looking at replacing our big tent.  It won’t be long before we will be window shopping and doing some comparing.  I am sure we will be looking at several brands during this process, including possibly some eureka tents, as well as some others.  We are kind of excited about another camping trip this year, especially if we can get certain other family members to go along and maybe stay a bit longer!

….when we couldn’t even DREAM that computer programs would take so much memory space.  I remember our first computer was doing good to use a FEW Megabytes for a hard disk.  And now, they’ve got computers that have soooooo much computer memory that they have had to come out with a Terrabyte.  Some of our computer games for our old computer were “HUGE” at 20Megabytes….and now, the latest game I’ve loaded on this computer suggest 1.4 Gigabytes of hard disk space PLUS space for saved games.  There was a time when we said that we didn’t know what ANYONE would do with a Gigabyte of hard disk space….but now, with graphics so in-depth and life-like, we have GREATLY changed the way we think about computer memory.  Now we think….Where and when can we get some more?

*L* No, I’m not talking about the ones that go on a dog, I’m talk about the other kind. These dog tags are a special gift you can give. You can get them in different colors, and styles, and you can get them inscribed with the usual information, or maybe you would prefer to have a special message put on them, which is what I chose to do. Mine are pictured below.

This company also has some other really cool things, like trophies and placques. You can get trophies for all manner of things. They have a wide selection of sports trophies, but also have ones for academic achievement and a few other things like that. All of their trophies and placques can be engraved!

Hey!!!  I think I’m getting this webpage thing figured out!!!  I was playing a bit tonight and figured out the first step on how to do something that I’ve been wanting to do with my left-hand menu!!!  Now all I have to do it is figure out step TWO…getting it where I WANT it instead of at the bottom of my menu….

Yep, I added another category tonight, just on a whim after a conversation with my Sister.  I HOPE you’ll all enjoy it!!!

I still haven’t had a chance to do anything with our main page for the site….one of these days, though…SOON!!!  Maybe later this week when I get a few minutes.  If I can get a few minutes here and there, I can put it together one step at a time.  May not be pretty to start, if I do it that way, but it will work.

….links to my side menu.  I added three or four new blogs to my blogroll.  I haven’t been to all of them yet, but they have been kind enough to leave me notes.  So, for now at least, they will be on my blogroll, and I will try to get around and visit them all in the next few days.

I also added a “Journal Prompts” category, so you’ll know where I get my journal prompts from when I come up short on fill-in entries in between my paid ones.  Check them out, ’cause the ones I’ve put up are REALLY cool!!!

I changed the name on a couple of my categories.  May end up changing them again, and maybe some more, if I decide that I don’t like what they are named now.

Also, I put a little thing at the bottom of my left-hand menu that shows my page ranking….or would, if I HAD a page ranking.  Inquiring minds want to know WHEN the page rankings are going to change?  I’ve been waiting for what seems like ages, even though it’s only been a couple of months…going on 3 months, I think.  I’m not greedy…I’d settle for a page ranking of one…I REALLY would!!!

…they are a thing that has many people baffled, I guess.  I keep waiting for them to change to see if I have one now, and I keep waiting….and waiting….and waiting….and it STILL doesn’t change.  I was TOLD that someone that I know THOUGHT they SHOULD change in September…well, September has come and gone….and still nothing.  Maybe page rankings are just a figment of the imagination?  Oh well….we keep waiting, I suppose….

….at my left-hand menu.  I got up the “currently reading” that I wanted, but it’s not QUITE how I wanted it yet.  When you run your mouse over the titles of the books we are reading, it shows it as a link, but it will take you nowhere.  I need to figure out how to make it so it’s NOT a link.

I’m also going to be adding, in the next few days, a place where you can see what we are reading currently, and what we’ve already read in the year.  The list for 2007 of what we’ve already read will not be REAL complete, but it will have all the MAJOR books that we’ve read on it.  So, keep your eyes open for that too!!!
