Struggling To Find Ourselves

I had a friend ask me several months ago when the last time was that I did something “spontaneous”.  I told her I felt like my life was “spontaneous”.  I rarely have any “set” plans…..I DON’T make too many plans that can’t be changed on the spur of the moment….We just kind of fly by the seat of our pants most days and pray God is in control and makes things turn out alright.  Well, I did something that I’m not sure would be classified “spontaneous” or not yesterday.  It was DEFINITELY something that I hadn’t done in a long time, though….ever actually.  I went to www.kcm.org and loaded up their “BVOV All Word Radio” and listened to service after service yesterday and most of the night last night.  I was feeling kind of…..shall we say….down? yesterday…I wasn’t feeling too hot because of a headache, and I just felt like I needed a word from God.  Can you imagine having the word of God preached to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?  After several hours of services, I was feeling better, at least in some ways!!!  And, I HAVE to say that the services they were running were EXACTLY what I needed to hear!!!  I NEED to see about getting a copy of them, so I can listen to them again!!!  It was VERY uplifting, spiritually, and I thank God for the internet and the ability to be able to do stuff like that!!!

…Another…..who knows what we have another of at this point?

Life has been kind of busy around here the last couple of weeks, with Spring Break and BEAUTIFUL weather, and LOTS of things to do outside.  I HAVE to be honest….I haven’t been spending as much time on here, even when my son has been at school during the day as I should have been.  I guess I’ll just have to use some of these rainy days that are coming up to catch up on stuff on here, huh?  Lord KNOWS I have enough that I NEED to do on here to keep me busy for all the rainy days that we get and THEN some!!!

Well, folks, it’s time to get moving for this morning.  Have quite a bit to do today before I start my errands this afternoon, ESPECIALLY since I feel SOME better than I did yesterday at this time!!!

…Busy week, and it’s NOT getting any better for the rest of it.  Nothing TOO major going on…just ALOT of running around.  And I even had to squeeze an appointment with my Doctor in yesterday too.  Have a sinus infection, again….

Here’s hoping we have a quiet weekend at home with NICE weather, so I can catch up on some of the stuff here at home!!!

….ever had someone tell you you were “awesome”?  Maybe this person was more like a passing acquaintance that you saw a couple of times a year?  And THEN, you find out that this passing acquaintance has told someone relatively new to your neighborhood that you are “awesome”, and they even bring them by to introduce you and prove their point?

What makes a person “awesome” to someone else?  ESPECIALLY when you may not know each other very well?  How do you respond to that?  Personally, I’m not sure HOW I would respond?  What about you?

Yep, it looks like Spring has FINALLY arrived, at least for the most part!!!  We have had a couple of REALLY beautiful days, especially today!!!  I was even able to turn off the heaters yesterday morning, and they haven’t been on since then!!  That will help our heating bill DRASTICALLY, even if we need to run them only during the night!!!

The grass has been growing rapidly in the last couple of days!!!  The neighbors across the street have a set of daffodils open!!!  My lilies are starting to break out from underneath the Winter’s collection of dirt and leaves and bark that has collected in the flower beds.  All of the birds are starting to come out and be seen more, and are singing in the trees that surround my house all day long!!!

Thank GOD for the miracle of Spring!!!

Yep, I think that we are in the last few days of our “cold” weather!!!  Signs of Spring are ALL over our neighborhood now!!!  Flowers are coming up.  One of our neighbors even has some yellow daffodils already in full bloom.  The trees are budding out nicely.  The grass is starting to grow faster, and it has REALLY greened up with the warmth the last two days!!!  The animals are all shedding or molting, whichever they do.  The ducks are laying eggs, and the males are fighting over who gets which female.  I would have to say that Spring is here!!!

….Our reading list again in the next few days, when I get a few minutes.  We haven’t done too bad for the month of February and with everything going on!!!  And, wouldn’t you know it?  It’s time to return books to the library and get some more today or tomorrow too!!!

I’m going to be changing my sidebar again too in the near future by adding some new information and buttons and by taking some off, probably.

Yep, I don’t know how many entries I’ve done on here with that title, but there’s another one for you!!!  Nothing REAL major…just the little things that creep up on you in day-to-day life.

The weather was WONDERFUL yesterday and the day before, but today, we are about 40 degrees cooler than yesterday at this time.  And people are wondering why everyone has congestion and is getting pneumonia and such!!!

Well, folks, I think it’s about time to run….again!!!  I have to run to a nearby town and do some errands and such.  Thankfully, it SHOULD be a short jaunt today, unlike it turned out to be yesterday.  But, I won’t have much time, maybe a couple of hours, between when I get done with my errands and when I need to go get my son from school, so I may pop back on at another one of the libraries instead of going home for that couple of hours.  It’s ALMOST not worth going home some times when I only have a couple of hours.  I JUST get comfortable at the house after running my errands, and then it’s time to leave again.  And I DO have some computer stuff that I can do here at the libraries, so coming back to the library instead of going home wouldn’t be such a bad thing, maybe.
