Struggling To Find Ourselves

With the changes that have happened here in our lives in the last several months, and the changes that are in the foreseeable future, I have noticed that the possibilities for things that people give as gifts has been added too.  With vacations in Colorado and other snow-bound neighborhoods now happening, I have come to realize that having some nice, home-made sweaters might not be a bad idea again. I used to wear sweaters all Winter long, instead of a “Winter” coat, but, since moving to Kansas, I have found that I don’t have much use for them here. But, taking vacations in Colorado around Christmas time is a different story. I may just have to get out of knitting needles and the one-piece sweater patterns that my Mother used to make and see about trying my hand at a sweater or two!!

As they have done in the past several months, the possibilities are continuing to expand for us!!  We are now looking at a small business opportunity or two.  Not for this next week, type-thing, but for down the road.

Our lives are FULL of changes and excitement because of the changing possibilities that continue to show themselves to us, and for that, I am thankful!

Well, I guess it’s a good thing that we don’t need a new television at the moment!  The televisions are changing SOOOOO fast right now that a new one would be outdated with a few months.  They have gone from the old fashioned, clunky, take-a-table ones to having rackmount lcd ones that you can hang on the wall like a picture in just a year or two.  Not only is the sizes changing on them rapidly, but also how good the picture is.  I think we will stick with the one we’ve got for about 10 years or so!

A Winter approaches, and we are trying to get things taken care of so that we are ready, we have been shopping here and there for the best price on several items.  We have been doing some actual go-to-the-store-and-window-shop, but we have also been using one of the most valuable resources in our society today…the internet….to shop on-line stores and also an online auction house or two.  Can’t say we are done “window shopping” for those items, either, but we are getting close!!

There are been a couple of mornings the last week or so when there has been a definite coolness in the air….a reminder that Fall is JUST around the corner, as well as Winter.  Needless to say, we have been working at getting things set up for Winter, including buying Winter clothing and such.  We still need to get a pair or two of  snow boots, and maybe a Winter coat for me, but other than that, we are pretty well set for Winter clothing.

Preparing for Winter can be a FULL time job sometimes when you live in the country and have animals and such.
