Struggling To Find Ourselves

If you have important dates to save, why not try using save the date cards?  It sounds like they would be GREAT reminders for keeping track of all of those important dates on your calendar.

We have several important-ish dates coming up and I’m thinking that I need some of those.  Now if only I could get them BEFORE the important dates come around.

….an article the other day on how to remove blackheads.  I didn’t realize they had so many ways to do that, but I guess it’s just like everything else…..and as technology advances, they come out with more ways that are supposedly safe.

What can we say?  Technology is advancing rapidly in ALL areas these days.  Some say it is a good thing, other’s say it’s not such a good thing.  I, personally, haven’t made a decision yet.  In some ways, it IS a good thing to have technology advancing rapidly, but in other ways, it is hard to keep up with.

And who decides who it is effective for?  Everyone is different, in MANY ways, so what might be effective diet pills for one person may not necessarily be effective for everyone.

What else is there to say?  Everything works that way.  Prescriptions, foods, allergies, exercise, vehicles, computers, loans, any transaction at a financial institution, over-the-counter medications, vitamins and minerals, even cooking.

I think it is a better bet to evaluate everything from the standpoint of that it may or may not work the same for you.

These days, it’s a good idea to do a directory submission if you have any type of a business.  Why?  Because those directories are available to the search engines on the internet sometimes, and therefore make your company information available to the whole wide world!  That, in turn, could turn into added revenue for your company.  And I have found that you can even find free directory submissions, so all it is costing you is your time.  What better deal could there be?

We can foresee some changes coming, in several areas of our lives.  One of these is my auto insurance. I can’t say I’m unhappy with my insurance company. I have never had any complaints with them, but I am just kind of looking to consolidate bills a bit, and I have insurance somewhere else on something else, so I either need to move my auto insurance over to the other company, or take my other policy and move it over to my auto insurance company.  I haven’t decided which one I am going to do just yet, but I will soon!

It is amazing sometimes to watch the number of products in a certain catagory increase over the years.  I think the health and beauty aisle has seen the most amount of increase in products recently in acne products and the like.  There are so many products that are so much alike these days that I find it difficult to shop for a new product that I haven’t used before.  Of course, it probably doesn’t help that I’m a label reader, either.  I find it necessary to compare ingredients and price, as well as size and concentrated-ness.

Just who decides if something is labelled “non addictive” or not?  What do you classify “addictive”, anyway?

I have to laugh sometimes when I see non addictive sleep aids advertised.  Why?  Because, although the ingredients used in these sleep aids is “non addictive”, I have to say that it would be VERY easy for me to get “addicted” to a decent nights sleep!  Maybe that is not a traditional addiction, but in my mind, it could be very close in some instances.

It is truly amazing sometimes when I think about how many advertisements I run into when I’m on the internet.  I haven’t counted lately, but I’m sure that the number of advertisements that say “click here for hoodia” or something similar is TRULY an amazingly large number!  But that is far from the only thing that there are numerous advertisements for on the internet. 

Another thing that truly is amazing is the number of different items/services/goods and such that there are advertisements for on the internet.

We got a funny look here a few days ago when we went into a hardware store in one of the nearby big cities to shop for some items, which included some screws for the numerous drawer handles that we need put on at our house.  It wasn’t so much what we were shopping for that earned us the funny look, I think, but how MANY we were shopping for.  We found a nice gentleman that helped us find the right size to fit and such, and he was trying to sell us packages with only 8 in them.  The funny look came when I asked him if he had a bigger package of that size.  We found a package of 100 screws, I believe, and he was taken aback when we voted to take the bigger package of 100 screws instead of buying a package or two of 8 screws.  We didn’t bother to tell him that we have 18 or 20 handles that need put on, so that package of 100 screws will have a pretty good dent put in it by the time we get them all done.

Have you noticed lately how many places now have touchless hand dryers in the restrooms?  I guess I finally realized it here a month or two ago when I went to the mall in a nearby big city to do some shopping, and they had one….and then I went to a nearby airport, and that’s ALL they had.  It’s a GREAT idea, if you ask me, but what happens when they don’t work right?  What happens when the sensor goes out?  Hmmmmmm…..something to think about this weekend, I guess.
