Filling The Freezer
May 6th, 2010Well, out of necessity….and a bit of desire for a couple of different reasons, we started filling our freezer with butchered chickens the night before last. We only did 4, but that’s four less that we have to feed, and four less that are chasing the hens and the other roosters, or that are being chased by the other roosters. We have discovered, though, that we need a couple of things to make the rest of them easier…..sharper knife….more hot water…..and possibly stainless steel drums. We will be getting the knife and more hot water and building a work table to do the butchering on in the NEAR future.
