Struggling To Find Ourselves

…couple of things, what with going through boxes and such.  One of the things that I have found that I need is a shipping box or two.  We are getting rid of a few things by selling them, by giving them away, or by trashing them.  I will have my work cut out for me the next couple of weeks, as I want to make BIG strides towards getting a BUNCH of boxes sorted through and out of the way.

There are a couple of things that I want to get accomplished in the next couple of weeks….only one of those is going through boxes in MASS quantities.

….for a business as it is for us individuals to have a good credit report?  I hadn’t ever thought about it, but I imagine that it IS as important…or maybe even more so….for business owners to get a copy of their business credit reports.  It would be interesting, in my opinion, to see what is on a business’s credit report.  I mean, you HAVE to admit that you can learn ALOT about an individual by looking at their credit report.  Can you learn as much about a business?  I might just have to see about looking at one, one of these days….

Part of my daily life right now is going through some of the stuff in our basement and out in one of our outbuildings.  Some of that stuff hasn’t been out of the box that it’s in in at LEAST 30 years, so Lord only knows what all is in there.  Some of the things that I KNOW are in there, though, are books. LOTS of books….of different types, sizes, shapes, colors and subject.  There are romance novels, I am sure, as well as school books from when I was homeschooled.  There are crafting pattern books of various types, and reference books, as well.  And Lord only knows what else.  I guess it’s time to start thinking about investing in some more shelves!!

As I have been digging into my family tree a little bit, here and there, over the past few weeks, I’ve found several different interesting “dates” in my family history in which there HAS to be a story behind.  Some of the websites that help you build your family tree have places where you can put stories about your family and such, and I would have to say that, should I ever do one of those stories for any of the family members that I know, I would HAVE to include my Mother-In-Law’s weight loss success stories.  She had a BIG battle on her hands at that point in her life, and I was and still am SOOOOO proud of her for making it work while she did!!

I miss her VERY much!!!

I have been thinking about patterns and such the last several days, as I am going to start going through a bunch of my Mother’s stuff and she had ALOT of pattern books for various things that I KNOW I am going to come across in the process of decluttering some areas of my life.  I know she has knitting patters, and crochet patterns, and plastic canvas patterns…but I can’t say that I know much about female pattern hair loss, and pray I never do!

As if we didn’t already have enough animals, we got some more yesterday.  We made a deal with a store up the road a ways for some more baby chickens.  Keep in mind that we ordered some through the mail in November and we are butchering a bunch of the roosters, a few at a time, here and there now.  We also ordered a “special order” of 6 about 3 weeks ago through the mail to get more of what we wanted, rooster-wise.  My guess is that, with the new babies, I won’t need to be reading any apidexin reviews or looking at any dieting stuff, even if I WAS overweight, because I figure all of these babies will keep me hopping for about the next 2 or 3 months!  At least the freezers should be full for Winter!!

The last couple of days, I have to say that acne medicine has been the LAST thing on my mind, along with a few other items. I have been nursing a couple bruises and a couple of vertebrae in my back being jarred out of place due to an incident with one of the horses out here that I’m working with….an incident that, IF I had been paying attention to that little, nagging voice on the inside of me, never WOULD have happened….an incident that never SHOULD have happened.  It has been a stark reminder to me that I should listen to that little, nagging voice on the inside, and have to good sense to STOP when I should, instead of thinking that I need to go that one step further.

Well, out of necessity….and a bit of desire for a couple of different reasons, we started filling our freezer with butchered chickens the night before last.  We only did 4, but that’s four less that we have to feed, and four less that are chasing the hens and the other roosters, or that are being chased by the other roosters.  We have discovered, though, that we need a couple of things to make the rest of them easier…..sharper knife….more hot water…..and possibly stainless steel drums.  We will be getting the knife and more hot water and building a work table to do the butchering on in the NEAR future.

Yesterday, while working with one of the horses out here that I haven’t worked with hardly at all, I was given a STARK reminder that I might want to get a free life insurance quote.  No real harm done….but I was also reminded that I need to pay more attention to that nagging, little voice that tells me NOT to do something….at least at this point in time.

We have been debating about where to go on our vacation this year.  There are SOOOOO many possibilities and SOOOOOO little time.  We could come up with Disney vacation packages or even a Branson vacation package, or even 6 Flags vacation packages.  Then again, we could go camping and fishing and hiking and such too, and just get out and enjoy God’s handiwork.

Well, there will be time enough for making plans, I suppose.  One day at a time, and we’ll see what happens between now and then.
