Another Hobby
April 29th, 2010Three or four years ago, I took up MAKING my son’s birthday cake. It was a TOTALLY new experience for me, but it has been saving us $30 or more every year since then. And, it has saved us the hassle of having to get the cake ordered a certain number of days in advance and having to go pick it up and such. Not to mention that the lady that was making our cakes is not doing it anymore.
I’ve done probably 6 or 8 birthday cakes, but I can’t say I have ever done a wedding cake or used wedding cake toppers. I can’t really say that, unless they were REALLY unconcerned about how “professional” it looked that I would really WANT to do a wedding cake. I COULD, but I’ve still got a LONG way to go to make mine look like it was done by a “professional”.
But, this IS something that I COULD turn into another sideline income, if I so desired, even if it was only an occassional income. I seem to have the trickle effect going here, don’t I?
Have a BLESSED day, all!!!
