Struggling To Find Ourselves

…When we say we can’t handle anymore?

I had a close friend ask me that a couple of hours ago.  Not only is this friend dealing with some MAJOR health issues and personal issues, but they found out last night that a member of the church that they were fairly close too was coming back from the doctor’s office when she told her husband that she didn’t feel good, and had what they are assuming was a heart attack and died.  I wasn’t sure what to tell my friend, other than I didn’t think that God got mad when we feel like we’ve reached the end of our ropes…..didn’t Job in the Bible?  Maybe Jonah had too?  I mean he was running from God for a little while.  What about the king that wasn’t eating while his child was sick, but when he received word that the child had died, he got up and was eating, MUCH to the astonishment of his servants.  I would have to say that not eating because your child is sick is POSSIBLY trying to tell God that you can’t handle anymore, don’t you think?  God is a loving God…and He understands our human weaknesses.  Sometimes we may wonder “Why Now, Lord?”, but someday, I believe it will all make sense.  Lord knows that I’ve been to the point myself when I have said that I couldn’t take anymore…..ALOT!!!

I’d be interested in your opinions…..do you think God gets mad when we’ve had enough?  If so, why?  If not, why not?

In this world, there are all kinds of burners.  You can have a fat burner, a gas burner, a hay burner, a stove burner.  What about an after-burner?  There are oil burners, cigarette burners, and several other kinds.  What kind do you like best?  Do you have a burner of some type?  Do you WANT a burner of some type?  Do you have a burner that you take for granted?  It’s funny sometimes how we can take something like that for granted, until we don’t have access to it anymore.

Okay, I’m not a big fan of rings, but this page that has tips for guys about jewelry on it has some good ideas, in my opinion.  Not only does it have tips about WHEN to give jewelry as a gift, but it has color ideas and tries to explain WHY a woman might want that color, or what it would mean if a guy gave that color to a woman.  It’s nice that there are suggestion websites out there to try to help guys understand how a woman thinks!!!

I have to admit, though, that the jewelry on this website seems a bit pricey to me, but I like to look, and I think I like the sapphires and diamonds the best!!!

Not like I am likely to have the money to spend on that ring, or WANT to spend that much money on a piece of jewelry if I DID have the money, but it’s nice to look at!!!

We have had a busy couple of weeks.  The days are going by SOOOOOOOO fast.  I have been filling my time with helping people, it seems.  Someone needs this….someone needs that….someone needs something else.  What better way to fill my time with my son gone?  WORKS FOR ME!!!!  Keeps me busy, anyway.

Have been thinking, planning, debating, contemplating the last couple of weeks.  Have been talking to people about possibilities….and probabilities over the next few weeks, months, and even the next year or so.  Have had ALOT of possibilities running through my head.  Now all I need to do is sort out what are plausible and the ones that are NOT plausible, and figure out which direction we need to go on some of this stuff.  Soooooo many possibilities…..soooooo many directions to go in.

Have been getting a bit of reading done here and there, in between everything else.  NOT much….but more than at other times.

Basically, I have just been on the go alot.

My knee is doing….so-so.  They did an MRI and they say nothing was torn, but I’m still not seeing much improvement on it.  Gave up wearing the brace a couple of weeks ago because it’s so restricting…I can’t drive with it….I can’t do this…I can’t do that….just makes it VERY difficult to function.  What’s that old saying….”If you want something done, you’d best do it yourself”?  I’m getting by with it the way it is at the moment, so I guess we will just see how it goes in the next week or two.

Other than that, not much going on here, so I guess we will catch you later…..Blessings to all in ABUNDANCE!!!!
