In The World Today…
March 6th, 2009…there is ALOT of talk…INCREASING amounts of talk…about obesity and the rise of it, even among infants. Now, I realize that there has ALWAYS been talk about it among adults and that was the cause of the invention of numerous different types of weigh loss products, such as drinks, “candy” bars, even a weight loss pill or two, as well as NUMEROUS other items. MY concern is that the weight gain is NOT just among the adults any more….it’s among the CHILDREN of our population as well. And I, for one, blame a BIG part of the weight gain among the children of our society on the advancement of technology. Without video games and computers and 24-hour television shows and iPods and such, our children wouldn’t be stuck on the couch, like the trend seems to say today. Stop and think about it….when was the last time you went for a walk with your child?
