Sales

October 27th, 2008

Allow me to rant and rave about something for a few moments, if you would please?

Have you noticed that when a store advertises a “sale“, that it’s NOT always a TRUE sale?  I have experienced this several times over the last few months.  I go into a store and see the sale advertisement, or a “sale” sticker for a particular item, so I pick it up.  ALOT of them I’ve noticed say something like “limit 2″.  Okay, in my mind, that means you are only allowed a maximum of 2, right?  Well, I get up to the check-out with this “sale” item, after having picked up only 1, and it rings up as regular price.  Upon questioning the cashier about it, the cashier informs me that you have to buy 2 of the same item to get that sale price.  Now how lame is that?  And no, this is not something I’ve noticed at just ONE store in this area….I’ve noticed it in a few different stores.  Tell me….is there something wrong with that scenario, or is it just me?
