Struggling To Find Ourselves

There IS one down side to this beautiful weather we’ve been having…..ALLERGIES!!!!  I haven’t been doing too bad throughout today, but awhile ago, something hit me, and my sinuses clamped shut, and my eyes started watering, and my nose started running….and I just, all in all, feel like trying not to breathe.  Is there a place I could move too that I wouldn’t have these problems so suddenly?  Maybe Alaska?  Or Greenland?  Maybe Antarctica?  I could build us an igloo and invite the polar bears and the penguins over for dinner.

Well, I think that’s it for tonight, given the way I’m feeling at the moment….thanks for reading, if anybody IS reading this useless rambling!!!

Sometimes, you or your family needs a helping hand…if only for a shoulder to cry on for support when the day seems darker than possible.  Whether you or someone you know has mesothelioma, or leukemia, or any other life threatening disease, or maybe it’s just a fact that you need emotional support because you’re going through a rough time in your life, remember…There ARE people out there that WILL support you when you need it.  You just have to reach out….

Yep, it’s official, as of today….The church across the street sort of has their own “Pastor”.  “Sort of”, you ask?  How can they “sort of” have their own Pastor?  Well, they just hired someone who just graduated from the Seminary, but he’s not really a “Pastor” yet because he’s not ordained.  He will be a “Vicar” for the next year, and THEN, he will be ordained and become an official “Pastor”.  It’s kind of confusing, if you ask me, but then again, I’m not Lutheran either.  Maybe it makes sense if you’re Lutheran?

I got a phone call the other day.  It was one of those telemarketers that we all LOVE soooooo much.  They were trying to “give” me a cruise to the Bahamas, and a stop in the Padre Islands.  I was thinking then that it would be nice to go there and find a North Padre Island rentals place to rent equipment and such from. Don’t you think that would make a GREAT vacation for the family?  Lots of sun, beaches, water, and activities for the WHOLE family!!!

Schooling, if you want to call it that, has been going okay.  The Reading has been coming along nicely, and my buddy has been doing SUPER GREAT on Math and such.  We’ve been doing some Science, Social Studies, History, and Agriculture, just to name SOME of our “subjects”.  And frankly, we haven’t been working TOO hard on it, so far.

…almost.  With technology these days giving us access to wireless internet and such, you can take e-mail with you almost anywhere.  And if you don’t have a laptop, you can always contact a place that does computer rentals, and see what kind of a deal they can give you.  I HAVE to admit that a laptop would make it VERY easy to be able to access the internet no matter where you were, or just do off-line work too.

Summer is officially here, at least according to the calendar.  Temperature-wise, though, I am happy to say that we REALLY haven’t had any HOT weather yet.  We’ve had several days where it has been on the verge of hot because of the humidity, but the temperatures haven’t been all that bad so far.  The last couple of days have been so nice that we’ve spent the MAJORITY of the day outside, except for frequent trips in the house for drinks and such.

And we’ve had quite a bit of rain lately too….just like Spring, should be, if you ask me.  In fact, there is apparently water in wells this year that wasn’t there last year out here where we live.  And the flowers are just thriving on this beautiful weather.

…lipovox?  It kind of sounds like a drug of some sort to treat some strange, rare disease.  But then again, it also kind of sounds like a storage device of some sort.  Maybe it’s not even from this planet?  What if it was from outer space?  From some strange planet that is inhabited by strange looking aliens?  What if that was the name of their main course for dinner?  Oh, the things the mind comes up with sometimes…

Yep, I think I’m done….for now.  Now it’s time to go do some cleaning, and get the laundry going and such, and spend the afternoon with my son.  It’s going to be different today, being able to stay home for at least MOST of the day, but I’m HOPING we can make GOOD use of our time together.  I’ll try to do better about getting in here to do entries!!!  Take care, ya’ll…

As I’ve been getting older, I’ve been doing some studying on health and such.  Did you know that they CLAIM that a colon cleanse is one of the BEST ways to ward off certain types of sickness and disease?  I’m not sure that’s true or not, but that’s what they claim.  They also claim, and I’m sure this is true, that our foods do not contain as many nutrients and so forth in them because of the way that farming and food production is done these days.  They say that there are VERY few minerals left in the soil in places, and anything grown there is not going to have the needed nutrients to keep us healthy.  I guess that would be why my Doctor suggested a multi-vitamin every day, huh?  I plan on doing MORE studying on health and such over the next few months, just to see what else I can come up with.  If I find anything interesting, I’ll be sure to pass it along.
