Struggling To Find Ourselves

Time machine….that’s a GOOD subject for me!!!  I even started writing a story that actually was turning into a series of stories a few years ago, that involved time travel.  It wasn’t exactly by time machine, though.  I made the “hero’s” time travel more of a mystery of nature.  Maybe I’ll have to post one of those stories one of these days?

As he entered through the front door, he stood, awe-struck.  Everywhere around him, he could see items he had dreamed about getting for his “baby” for the last several years.  This store had everything from truck racks to pick-up covers, seat covers to chrome plated gear shifter knobs, bed liners to chrome valve covers, from clutches to pistons, from dashes to gauges to go in the dash.  They had it all!!!  And he had FINALLY made it in here WITH money!!!  That left only one question:  Where should he start?

You would NOT believe all of the things that I have on my “To-Do” list!!!  Needless to say, I’m multi-tasking again.  Not only on my own stuff, but also to help a neighbor out with her computer….or attempt to.

The weather has been better the last 3 or 4 days.  We have ACTUALLY been able to go without a jacket for a short time in the afternoon!!!  This kind of weather is only 2 or 3 weeks later than it has been in the recent years.  The grass is growing now, though.  We will probably need to mow next week, or the following week.  The temperatures are supposed to stay pretty steady, but we are supposed to have rain the next few days.  LOTS of signs of Spring!!!

Have I rambled around rambling lately?  I don’t think I have.  You know, I’ve gotten quite good at rambling about….absolutely nothing.  I never knew that rambling about nothing was such a task, but I have recently found out that not just anyone can do it successfully, and even fewer people can do it more than once.  And here I do it ALOT….*L*  I must be pretty talented, don’t you think?….*silly grins*

Okay, this is a new one on me.  What is…..Orovo?  Maybe I should look it up in the dictionary?  Okay, the dictionary didn’t do me any good.  Hmmmmm….Interesting!!!  Okay, this has got me interested.  Let’s see what a visit to the website gets us.  Hmmmmm…Interesting.  It is a website for muscle builders, weight loss and acne products.  Hmmmmm….That’s an interesting name.  I wonder how they came up with it?

Yep, that’s what has been going on here.  We have been kept pretty busy with everything going on.

Spring is right around the corner, though!!!  The weather is starting to show a little warmth some days, and I have seen a few robins out and about the last couple of days!!  That is a SURE sign that Spring is about here.  And that is a good thing, because I think the whole neighborhood has cabin-fever!!

Branson, Missouri seems to be a BIG vacation spot these days.  It’s hard to believe, when you look at all of the opportunities there today, that just a few years ago, there wasn’t much of anything exciting there.  Today, they’ve got country music theaters by the dozen, Branson private golf clubs, beautiful scenery, two lane roads, and let’s not forget the chaos on those two lane roads when all the music shows let out at about the same time….*L*

…are filled with running, it seems like.  Even when we don’t plan it.  I planned to run into town for a couple of hours yesterday morning, and ended up spending all afternoon there.  Had just enough time to get back to the school and get my buddy picked up.  So much for getting some stuff done around the house here!!!

Today was SOME better.  I had an appointment at 11A.M., so I had about 3 hours at home in between errands and the appointment and getting back to the school.

I will have to do an entry about schooling here one of these days soon.  Nothing major going on there, other than my buddy WANTING to do some of the pages I had left from the Kindergarten work he was doing when I was home schooling him.  So we’ve done a couple of those the last two nights, in addition to his 5 minutes worth of homework from school.

Other than that, things are okay here.  Had some Spring-like weather a couple of days ago, and then it cooled off again.  But it’s warming back up, SLOWLY.  The grass is starting to pop up green all over the place, and a couple of the trees are really starting to show they are getting leaves.  That’s a GOOD thing, ’cause I am SOOOOO ready for Spring!!!

Do you have a favorite vacation spot?  Lots of people do!!!  Some people like camping in the mountains, with just them and their close family….a couple of tents, a campfire every night to roast marshmallows over, a fishing pole to catch some fresh mountain trout.  Other people like the big cities.  Some go spend a night or two in Vegas hotels, or in Chicago, or New York.  So, whatever your preference for a vacation spot, somewhere in this great nation of ours, IS a place for you!!!
