Spring Has Sprung!!!
March 25th, 2008All around us are signs of Spring, including the temperature, finally!!! Our iris’ are starting to green up and grow a little bit. We checked out lily’s this afternoon, and there is one of them popping up through the dirt. No sign of the gladiolus’ yet, but they were later coming up than the rest of them last year. The grass is going to need mowed next week or the week after, at the latest!!! The robins have been out in VAST numbers. Yep, all in all, I would have to say that Spring has FINALLY sprung!!! And the WHOLE neighborhood is thankful!!! There has been a bustle of activity all around the neighborhood the last week or so. The temperatures have even been warm enough that I’ve started walking up the road a mile and the mile back to the house. Up to today, I haven’t done it on a regular basis….but I WILL be changing that to where I am walking at LEAST 3 days a week, and probably more. And, of course, there WILL be some days when I will walk 4 miles instead of 2. And I’ve got a 7 mile route mapped out too, just in case I get REAL energetic, which will probably happen at SOME point. And we are probably going to have what we need to start working more with Chief too by next week, so that will help fill some more of my time and give me more time outside, so I can TRULY enjoy the weather!!! I can’t wait!!!
