…I’m going to make either a spice cake or some homemade raisin bread here shortly.  Running the oven SURE won’t overheat the house today, and it will give Dad and my boy something to snack on this afternoon and over the weekend, IF there’s any left for the weekend.  And I LOVE the smell of something good cooking in the oven…ESPECIALLY if it’s got spices like cinnamon in it!!!

…with a decent rate, that is not the “cockroach inn” can be a trick sometimes.  Fortunately, there are places we can go on-line now that will give us competitive rates at the place we want.  If you are looking to make Hotel Reservations, the internet has made that a WHOLE lot easier!!! Get your choice of rooms, at some places, and competitive rates, and do all your travel planning right from the comfort of your own home without being on the phone for hours!!!

…the second half of my newest project yesterday.  I got maybe a half an inch of ribbing done on it.  I’m HOPING I can work on it and get AT LEAST the ribbing done today, but we’ll have to see how the day goes.  I have got about 5 projects lined up to do AFTER I get this one done.  2 of them are the same project for other people, and then I have 3 more that will be all the same, I think, except for the color, if the first one comes out decent.

…a day of….I’m not sure how to describe it.  It seems, according to the weather, that there is a pretty good ice storm on the way starting this afternoon.  So this morning is going to be spent making sure the dishes and laundry and such are done, just in case we lose power, and that the animals are taken care of and that all of the “hatches” are tied down.  We’re doing school in amongst all of the other things, and I’m trying to get e-mail and other on-line stuff taken care of, so it’s done, just in case we lose power.

I will probably be posting a couple of entries that I typed on the 6th later today, just to fill in space here afterwhile, and to get them posted.

…so, I got a note saying I had been Google-spanked.  Hmmmm…that’s a thought, and COULD be true, but of course, I wonder if it is.  The Google pageranking page says that the readings may fluctuate until the new readings overwrite the old ones.  Yep, I HAVE to say mine have been fluctuating over the last few days.  I’m confused about this.  What I’ve found on the pageranking pages don’t say what I’m being told….but then again, who really knows what is going on.  Oh well….*shrugs*…A few days off to finish my newest project, which I started the second half of today!!!  I SHOULD have the second half of it done by mid-week or so, if things continue going good.  With more weather moving in tomorrow, I will probably have PLENTY of time to knit, as we don’t plan on going ANYWHERE with anothe inch of ice on the way tomorrow.  We are going to stay home, stay warm, and keep an eye on the animals.

Haven’t been able to do many paid entries the last couple of days.  ANY, for that matter.  Google, or we THINK it’s Google, has had our page ranking all messed up again, presumably because they are in the process of changing them again.  When you have no page ranking, which is what one of our main sites has us at, there are few to no opportunities to do.  The note on Google’s page says that the readings on the page ranking should level out before very long.  MY question is:  How long is not very long.  It SUCKS when we can’t earn money!!!  I kind of like doing the entries most of the time.  But, I guess this is the couple of days off that we need occasionally to spend more time on something else.  So, I’m TRYING to be thankful for this couple of days off, and keep believing that the page rankings will level out and we will have new, better ranks before the week gets started too well!!!

With this lull, I was able to finish part one of my newest project today.  I COULD have had it finished yesterday, except I only knitted three rows yesterday because my fingers were a tad sore.  They are still sore today, but it’s beginning to wear off some.  Also, I ran boiling water down my hand and wrist last night while I was draining some spaghetti noodles for dinner, which, of course, did NOT help my sore fingers feel any better.  No blisters, though, so we’re thankful for that!!

Anyway, we’ll be around….hopefully tomorrow, we’ll have entries we can do!!!

Here I am, on the ball today, with 3 fill-in/rambling entries already typed to put in between my paid entries or whatever, and I’m not going to get anything else done tonight.  Oh well….I guess I’ll save them for tomorrow and put a note at the top saying they were written today.
