Wellllll, SHOOT!!!
December 8th, 2007Haven’t been able to do many paid entries the last couple of days. ANY, for that matter. Google, or we THINK it’s Google, has had our page ranking all messed up again, presumably because they are in the process of changing them again. When you have no page ranking, which is what one of our main sites has us at, there are few to no opportunities to do. The note on Google’s page says that the readings on the page ranking should level out before very long. MY question is: How long is not very long. It SUCKS when we can’t earn money!!! I kind of like doing the entries most of the time. But, I guess this is the couple of days off that we need occasionally to spend more time on something else. So, I’m TRYING to be thankful for this couple of days off, and keep believing that the page rankings will level out and we will have new, better ranks before the week gets started too well!!!
With this lull, I was able to finish part one of my newest project today. I COULD have had it finished yesterday, except I only knitted three rows yesterday because my fingers were a tad sore. They are still sore today, but it’s beginning to wear off some. Also, I ran boiling water down my hand and wrist last night while I was draining some spaghetti noodles for dinner, which, of course, did NOT help my sore fingers feel any better. No blisters, though, so we’re thankful for that!!
Anyway, we’ll be around….hopefully tomorrow, we’ll have entries we can do!!!

I hate to tell you this, but you’ve been “Google-spanked”. You have been fortunate than most. Most of us got spanked last month. The official word is we have violated Google’s TOS (terms of service) by doing paid blogging (money for links). Thats the bad news. Page ranking is something one company invented to determine “worth” of a blog. They consider paid blogging to be maniulation of search engine searching. They have some legimate points, but it sucks for the blogger who has been making decent money. But, I don’t see this as the end of paid blogging. Just a bump in the road. PU2B and their advertisers don’t use page ranking as criteria, so we OK there. Payperpost is working on getting the adveristers to use their new “Realrank” system for their criteria instead of page ranking.
Sorry, you are not in alone in being unhappy about this turn of events. People are TICKED! wanting to boycott Google. Send letters to our senator. Geesh. It sucks, but it their (Google’s) right to do it. They are only one company. Its the internet world that put so much emphasis on pageranking. And it will be the internet world that will figure a different way to go about doing this.
Hang in. Do what you can do, and in the end, be thankful for what you were able to do.
