Struggling To Find Ourselves

Struggling To Find Ourselves
In More Ways Than One

Procrastination…

October 28th, 2007

…is one of the worst habits to break if you ask me.

I’m supposed to list 10 things I do when I am procrastinating:

1 - Play with my son
2 - Get on the computer
3 - Just generally avoid doing whatever it is that I’m procrastinating about
4 - Go to town
5 - Spend time outside
6 - See #3
7 - Read a book to my son
8 - Watch a movie with my son
9 - See #’s 3 & 6
10 - Go To Bed (but only if it’s close to bedtime!!)

I procrastinate with the best of them, I think, sometimes, but I really don’t have that much that I do to avoid doing whatever I’m supposed to be doing…other than doing anything BUT what I’m supposed to be doing.

Thanks to creativewritingprompts again for this entry!!!

Now THAT Would Be A Creation!!!

October 28th, 2007

Can you imagine buidling a life-sized animal…out of Lego building blocks?  My son LOVES Lego’s and we build ALOT of different things, but we have never gotten to the point of building life-sized anything’s, let alone animals.  In Denmark, they are said to have Legoland Adventure Park where there are giant animal models.  Can you imagine how many Lego’s that would take?  I would probably never be able to get my son out of that place!!

Loans In The UK

October 28th, 2007

If you are looking for loans and live in the UK, maybe you need to check into this website.  They have Secured Loans, Homeowner Loans, Consolidation Loans, and more.  They have a website that is fairly friendly to the eye, and is easy to use.  They have calculators on it, so you can guess-stimate how much you can afford.  They also have a calculator so that you can see what your payment would be on the loan amount that you need.  They have a phone number where you can reach them at, or you can fill out their little form and they will call YOU!!!  It’s a nice site, so check them out if you live in the UK and are looking into a loan!!!

Sunday Evening

October 28th, 2007

Another Sunday evening, and it’s fairly quiet around here.  We watched a couple of movies today with Kurt Russell in them, both of which we’ve seen before, but they were good enough to buy, which we did yesterday.  Other than that, we found the paperwork that we needed to find this morning.  Not much other than that happening here tonight.  Going to do a couple of paid entries, and put my boy to bed here REAL shortly, and get ready to start another week.

Hope you all had a decent weekend too!!!

Continuation Of Sunday Scribblings #82

October 28th, 2007

For those of you that are interested, yes, Dad was fine.  After 6 months or so of being off work because of a pinched nerve in his back…numerous doctor’s visits that amounted to being NO help….yes, the surgery did the trick!!  That is a GOOD thing, though, considering.  Dad was to the point where he couldn’t sit down in a chair for more than a few seconds at points in that 6 months or so.

And yes, my boy was VERY patient while we waited.  It was a LOOOONNNNNGGGGG day for ALL of us, but I couldn’t have asked him to do better…he was THAT good!!

THANK YOU for ALL the notes!!!  And welcome to my new readers!!!

Another Weekend

October 27th, 2007

Yep, it’s the weekend, once again.  Not much going on here today.  Will probably make a run to town here after while and do some shopping.  Other than that, we need to find a couple of things that we KNOW are here, but it’s a matter of where.  After that, it will probably be a fairly quiet afternoon, and it should be fairly quiet tomorrow too.  Dad probably won’t be going to work until at least Monday afternoon.  We have to fill out some forms and get them turned in on Monday, and then wait to hear, and then see what happens, but will write more on that later…

Are You Looking For A Warm Weekend?

October 27th, 2007

If you are, I have the place you NEED to be!!! Every year during the last Saturdays of October and November, St. Augustine’s antique district comes to life, and makes your shopping experience kind of a festival. They have lively street music and endless opportunities to shop for rare books, antiques, art, and more. There are book signing, art gallery open houses and live music just about everywhere you go. If you’re looking for a place to park in all of this excitement, the Mission of Nombre de Dios provides FREE PARKING for the “Uptown Saturday Night”, in which each shop has wine and refreshments for their customers. This REALLY sounds like a WONDERFUL experience, all in all, and I’m not sure I could actually choose ONE part that I would like to see the most….Let me see them all, if I’m going too!!! So, if you’re looking for a unique St. Augustine shopping experience, why not check out St. Augustine on October 27th, 2007 and November 24, 2007, and have a unique experience!!!  Why not go on down and join in the party-like atmosphere and the festivities this year?  It could be the best way to find some warmth on the weekend, and I’m sure it will be an experience to be remembered for years to come!!!
