Mail Delivery
October 28th, 2007Do you realize how much mail delivery has changed over the last two hundred years? At first, mail delivery was very infrequent and spotty. IF you got your mail at all, it could take MONTHS to get to you, and be in less than perfect condition when it DID finally arrive. Then came the Pony Express, which helped speed things up for a bit. Too bad that didn’t last longer!!! Then came trains…and now the mail is delivered right to your mailboxes 5 or 6 days a week!!! And, if you’re like me, you don’t even have to leave your street to go to the Post Office for stamps or whatever…the mailman can do ALMOST anything the Post Office can do!!! Though, I’m afraid mail DOES still get lost sometimes, and delayed…and torn up. It just doesn’t seem like it’s progressed very far in THAT aspect.
