Struggling To Find Ourselves

Did you know that the first emperor of China had huge army’s of clay?  Thousands of lifelike statues of horses and his soldiers were made from clay and were buried with him when he died.  The burial place and the clay army were discovered in 1974.  Nothing like having protection, even in the grave!!!

I still haven’t had a chance to do anything with our main page for the site….one of these days, though…SOON!!!  Maybe later this week when I get a few minutes.  If I can get a few minutes here and there, I can put it together one step at a time.  May not be pretty to start, if I do it that way, but it will work.

Have you stopped to think about the fact that EVERYTHING God created was by the power of His SPOKEN Word?  Think about it…how did he create the Earth?  He SPOKE it into being.  How did he create man and animals?  He SPOKE them into being.  In Proverbs 30:5, it says that God’s promises and words are tried and true.  In Ephesians 6:10-18, it’s talking about the armor of God, one of those being the sword of the Spirit, which is…the Word of God.  Have you ever thought about the Word of God as being a sword?  Revelations 12 says that we have overcome the adversary by the blood of the Lamb and BY THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY.  Mark 11:23 says “Whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain”.  If Jesus didn’t like what was happening in the physical realm (our world), he changed it with WORDS.  He didn’t like Lazarus being dead, so what did He do?  He SPOKE words to Lazarus, and the physical world changed.

Just think about it….

Do you realize how much mail delivery has changed over the last two hundred years?  At first, mail delivery was very infrequent and spotty.  IF you got your mail at all, it could take MONTHS to get to you, and be in less than perfect condition when it DID finally arrive.  Then came the Pony Express, which helped speed things up for a bit.  Too bad that didn’t last longer!!!  Then came trains…and now the mail is delivered right to your mailboxes 5 or 6 days a week!!! And, if you’re like me, you don’t even have to leave your street to go to the Post Office for stamps or whatever…the mailman can do ALMOST anything the Post Office can do!!! Though, I’m afraid mail DOES still get lost sometimes, and delayed…and torn up. It just doesn’t seem like it’s progressed very far in THAT aspect.

….Bed….me thinks…It has been a long day, as I got up with a pretty good headache today and had it until awhile ago, and we have several things we have to do tomorrow.  We’ve got to make a run to town, as we have an appointment and need to check the mail and such…you know, all those “necessities”….then, sometime tomorrow afternoon, I THINK Dad is going to work…but don’t quote me on that….Gotta stop by my Sister’s while we’re in town too!!  So, I think I’m about done for the night….Thanks for reading, and come back tomorrow!!!
