So Much For Mowing!!!
July 17th, 2007I went out to mow the back a while ago. Things were going okay….it REALLY needed mowed, so it was kind slow going, because the grass was tall and thick. Well, I got about half way done, and guess what? The lawn mower broke!!! I thought it was vibrating just a hair more than normal when I started my circle again, and by the time I hit the end of my circle, I disengaged the blades, and JUST then, something popped, and the blades wouldn’t engage again. I turned it off, and got down off of it, and the belt is just laying on the deck, I can see the blade on the left side hanging out from under the deck more than normal. I reach down and wiggle the blade, and the pulley on top of the deck that holds the belt in place rises. I moved some of the grass off of the deck by the pulley and find the heads of two bolts, that I’m assuming hold the pulley in place. Well, so much for mowing today!!! If I don’t get it fixed in the next day or two or three, I’ll go up the street and see if one of my neighbors can finish mowing the back for me, so the grass doesn’t get any taller!!! Oh well, I didn’t REALLY want to finish mowing anyway, did I?….*LOL*
