Struggling To Find Ourselves

My “buddy” was gone this weekend. Circumstances beyond my control, at this point. I SURE DID MISS HIM!!!

Weekend was kind of interesting, though. The neighbors all came by at various times to see how I was doing. They didn’t stay very long at any one time, but we DID see quite a bit of them compared to the other weekends.

I started getting paid for the paid entries that I’m doing today!!! My FIRST payment was $10, and it was in there this morning when I got up!!! The money will be coming in small increments on most days now for a couple of weeks!!! Now if I can only get some more PAID entries DONE, so the money doesn’t stop in 30 or so, I’ll be doing good!!!…But it won’t be tonight!!! They don’t have any I can do at this point!! HAVE to try to get in tomorrow during the day and see what they’ve got!!! MAYBE I could earn $15 or $20? Or even more? The money will be WELL used, you can bet on that one!!!

Well, about time to check e-mail and go snuggle with my boy, so we’ll let you go for now. You all take care, thanks for the notes!!! And we’ll be in touch…..*hugs* to friends and family

James 4:7 says that we need to “resist the Devil and he WILL flee”….not that he MIGHT flee, but that he WILL flee!!!

Revelations 12 says that we have overcome the adversary by the blood of the Lamb, and by the WORD of our testimony!!!!

Mark 11:23 says to “say unto your mountain ‘Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea’, and if thou shalt not doubt, but believe in your heart, it WILL be done for you!!”

Dad made it home safe and sound this afternoon. His plane was a tad later than expected, but it wasn’t too bad of a wait for him. Kind of glad to have him home, I HAVE to admit!!! And he even figured out what part we needed to fix the mower I broke!!!….*L* So now, all we have to do is figure out where we need to get one from. That could be easier said than done!!! Oh, and of course, we HAVE to hope it won’t cost TOO awful much!!! Nice to have you home, Dad!!! We MISSED YOU, but we ARE glad you got to go!!!!

Yep, looks like I’m getting ALL KINDS of number 1 votes this morning!!!  I’ve had my nieces over here for several days, because they were giving Mom ALOT of grief at home.  Getting into stuff they KNEW they weren’t supposed too and that they were told NOT to get into…not doing what they were told too….not doing what they SHOULD…having to be nagged about EVERYTHING.  Their Mom has been fighting this for months, now, in addition to “accidents” that AREN’T accidents from BOTH of them for NO reason.  So, I told her if she wanted me too, I could work on getting some habits established, like brushing their hair EVERY morning, and getting dressed WHEN they get up as opposed to when they are TOLD too, not doing their schoolwork just because they don’t want too.  It got the the point that she was finally fed up enough that she brought them over.

The reason for the number one votes this morning?  They have both been screwing around for the last 4 nights when they are put to bed.  They are awake normally WELL past when their Mom goes to work, and she doesn’t go to work until 10P.M.  That’s a TAD ridiculous when they are put to bed at or before 7P.M.!!!  Well, they screwed around last night.  I tried something I had used on another child when he was smaller and it worked GREAT with him.  But it just didn’t have the same effect on my nieces.  They thought it was a game, which just kinda p*ssed me off.  I told my Sister when she left last night that I WOULD make them regret not going to sleep when they are supposed too, and they WOULD regret playing games (or trying too).  Yesterday, they didn’t get breakfast because they hadn’t gone to sleep the night before….not much effect apparently because they screwed around again last night.  This morning?  No breakfast….And the other child that’s here today is eating lunch.  I go to get out a plate for him, and the oldest niece asks “What about us?”  My answer?  “What makes you think you SHOULD get lunch?”…She starts bawling.  Not too long after that, they other one starts too.  I simply told them that they have only themselves to thank.  Around here, children DON’T play games like what they have been doing, and I WILL get the message across to them…SOME how….SOME way….Am I too hard?  Maybe, but everything else we have tried and ARE trying doesn’t seem to make an impression.  And don’t worry, folks, I’m THINKING about giving them lunch pretty soon…..bread and water.  Maybe they will get the idea that they need to quit acting like they are the bosses and can play games with people’s heads and realize that they are children and NEED to do WHAT they are told, WHEN they are told?….*hopeful look*

I’ve come to realize that, no matter what I seem to try lately with my finances, they seem to always be in a mess.  Just when I think we’ll finally be able to get ahead a little bit, something else happens.

I’ve found a website, though, that MIGHT be able to help!!!  And they MIGHT be able to help YOU too!!!  They have Business Blog, News, and a  couple of general blogs. Their blogs offer tips, expert advice, and event stories for their readers in the categories of business, politics, finance, health, and technology, as well as other newsworthy topics.  Sounds like a GOOD place to maybe get some advice about how to get my finances back on track!!!

I went out to mow the back a while ago.  Things were going okay….it REALLY needed mowed, so it was kind slow going, because the grass was tall and thick.  Well, I got about half way done, and guess what?  The lawn mower broke!!!  I thought it was vibrating just a hair more than normal when I started my circle again, and by the time I hit the end of my circle, I disengaged the blades, and JUST then, something popped, and the blades wouldn’t engage again.  I turned it off, and got down off of it, and the belt is just laying on the deck, I can see the blade on the left side hanging out from under the deck more than normal.  I reach down and wiggle the blade, and the pulley on top of the deck that holds the belt in place rises.  I moved some of the grass off of the deck by the pulley and find the heads of two bolts, that I’m assuming hold the pulley in place.  Well, so much for mowing today!!!  If I don’t get it fixed in the next day or two or three, I’ll go up the street and see if one of my neighbors can finish mowing the back for me, so the grass doesn’t get any taller!!!  Oh well, I didn’t REALLY want to finish mowing anyway, did I?….*LOL*

I found an interesting site while I was looking around.  Things Remembered is a website of interesting and unique items that I found ALOT of would be GREAT gift ideas!!!  They have coupon codes to help you save money on some of those hard-to-find items.  Their website makes it easy to find a gift for that certain someone, because you can search for items by occassion, or by the type of recipient.  They also have “Specialty Shops” you can search through for those harder-to-find items.  You can also search by popular brand names.  They even have a rewards program!!!
