Struggling To Find Ourselves

There have been times in my life when I have been with an animal in the last few weeks of their lives.  I can’t say that it was good times, for any of the animals that I have been with, but I wouldn’t change it, even if I could.  With a couple, I have wished that they had incontinence products for animals. With others, I have wished that there was an easier way to say goodbye.  Or that it didn’t drag out for so long.

I have been thinking about taking another college course.  Honestly, the only way that would work with my work schedule is if I could do it like the last one, and I took a course that was COMPLETELY on-line.  Actually, that’s not a bad idea!!  Not only would I be able to do it whenever I got a few minutes, but it would save the cost of textbooks and such.  Another idea to throw around for a few weeks, while we wait and see what happens in a couple of other areas of our lives.

I wonder what Moses or some of the other Bible people did when they got older?  Did they worry about gray hair and wrinkles?  If they’d had the internet, would they have gone to www.wrinklecreme.net?  Were they proud of their gray hair (if it turned gray as they aged) and their wrinkles?  Hmmmmmm….interesting thoughts, huh?

With all of the advances and such in our society in technology and medicine, there are times when I’m STILL not too sure about whether it is a good thing….or not.  I don’t really know too much about some of this stuff, but sometimes I just get a feeling that man is going places that he is not really supposed to be.  Cloning, human growth hormone, gender change operations and such are some of those areas that, although they are exciting right now with all of the advancements and discoveries, I just get a funny feeling that we would ALL be better off sometimes WITHOUT all of those possibilities.

Probably not….but I MIGHT try the best night cream one of these days.  But it won’t be today.  There are days that I am just DRAINED physically at the end of the day and I don’t even want to THINK about creams or masks or things like that.  Maybe some day I will….but time will tell.  Soooooo much to do…..Sooooooo little time in the day!!!  Soooooo much to do….both inside AND outside!!!

Now that Spring-like weather has come, I have NO doubts that I won’t need a top rated diet pill or ANY diet pill. Not that I was actually considering one anyway, but there is MORE THAN enough physical labor to keep the weight off.  Actually, it will be more of a matter of trying to hold the weight that I am at (or close too it), instead of losing too much because I work off more calories than I normally eat.  Thinking of going into the fertilizer selling business!!!…*Laughs*  Told a friend today that I could make my millions by selling sh*t….*Laughs again*

Here lately, I have been doing ALOT of product reviews, but I haven’t really had the chance to do very many acne product reviews lately.  I CAN say that between all of the “little” jobs I’ve been able to pick up here lately and all of the stuff needing to be done here at home, I have been able to stay VERY busy!!!  And it’s just going to get busier with the weather warming up!!!  I have SOOOOOO much work to be done outside around the house here, on top of the horses that I already have here to work with…and the ones that are supposed to be coming!!!  Getting stalls and pens cleaned up some too is more time consuming and labor intensive than anything.  But, BOY!!!  Am I glad that Spring-like weather is FINALLY here!!!

There has been alot of talk that I’ve heard lately about clothing and the way people dress to do their daily activities.  I MUST admit that, even though I once thought about endurance racing with my mare and always thought cross-country jumping would be a challenge, I have RARELY considered doing it in breeches. My theory about life is: If I can’t do it in jeans and a comfortable shirt, then I probably don’t want to do it much.  H*ll, when it comes right down to it, I even go to the recreation center (our equivalent of a gym) in jeans and get on the elliptical runner and walk the track and go to the weight room.  I DO admit that, with some of these new jobs that I’ve been doing, they require more business-like dress, but I normally take a pair of jeans with me and change back into jeans after I finish my last job for the day.  Jeans are just….well….comfortable and durable for me.

Maybe that’s the next thing on the list…..”smart” televisions?  I know that today’s t.v.’s are getting pretty high class…..these plasma t.v.’s need plasma tv stands….and a WHOLE lot less room on your entertainment center, just like these new computers are taking up so much less room than they did before.  It’s nice, in a way, but it is also making it MUCH easier for electronics to be with us wherever we go in our day….which makes it MUCH easier for electronics to control our lives.

Okay, if you are like me, you have heard SOOOOOO much hype about cell phones in the last few months, that you are ready to hear about something else.  There are smart phones….we all know that.  I keep wondering what the non-”smart” phones are…..dumb phones?  Must be what I have….*L*  Do these phones know they are “smart” phones or “dumb” phones?  What makes them a “smart” phone or a “dumb” phone?  The name on them?  A touch screen?  Certainly, it’s not the ability to make phone calls, ’cause they ALL do that, I think.  What will we have next?…..”Smart” cars?…..”Smart” Houses?….”Smart” clothes?  Ahhhhh, the possibilities are endless these days!!!
